FMS Receives Task Order Contract to Provide Database Management Support to NCI’s Technology Transfer Center

Washington, DC (August 11, 2009) - FMS was recently awarded a task order contract under its GSA IT Schedule 70 to provide database support services to the National Cancer Institute’s (NCI) Technology Transfer Center (TTC).

FMS is responsible for creating various database records, linking records to the appropriate Invention Reports, licenses, and Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADA), generating reports, posting copies of inventors’ license abstracts on the TTC’s wiki, quality assurance and related coordination support for all of TTC’s stakeholders.

The TTC provides technology transfer services to NCI and other components of the National Institutes of Health. As part of the TTC’s technology transfer services, staff negotiates a variety of agreements designed to transfer inventions and discoveries to the private sector while at the same time safeguarding the government’s intellectual property.
