FMS Awarded Prime Contract to Support the Public Safety Officers’ Benefits Office and Programs at the U.S. DOJ

Washington, DC (October 1, 2009) - FMS was recently awarded a contract with the Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs (DOJ-OJP) to support the Public Safety Officers’ Benefits Office and Programs (PSOB).

Under this 5-year contract, FMS will provide paralegal, call center, and customer service outreach support.  Our staff will support the PSOB in the following activities: customer service outreach to survivors and agencies, PSOB claim processing, analyzing supporting claim documentation, identifying potential legal issues, tracking appeals, and streamlining the formal legal review process.

PSOB provides death benefits, disability benefits, and education assistance to qualified law enforcement officers, firefighters, and first responders in the U.S. as well as their surviving family members.
